To me the biggest wealth in life is health. If we can walk around and do daily things everything else is secondary. I like to share something from my own life. My father had a minor surgery many years back. He was healthy, walked himself to the surgery room, but when he came back he was paralyzed. He was bed-ridden for 10 years before leaving us. It was one of the most difficult things for me to accept, but that gave me a different perspective about life. I used to wonder what was going through his mind while he was on bed that many years. Didn't he wish for a day again to walk around and do all the things that he still wanted to do?
When I face difficulties I think of my father's or anyone else's situation which is worse than mine and then it feels very light and I feel blessed!! When I went through a leg fracture and went through 4-5 months inability to do daily things as usual, I reminded me that it is ONLY "temporary" and it was indeed temporary.
Thank God for my health, my breath, my family, my friends, my job, my house......for everything that I have and every moment of my life.!!.
